Skillfully hand raised by the master Mandean silversmiths of southern Iraq probably near Amarah.
It is an earlier, finer case dating to around 1925 and is signed by the maker.
The nielloed work is top quality. On the front it features a mounted camel and on the back there is a boat probably manned by the marsh arab people.
The case is tactile and beautifully proportioned at 81mm x 69mm x 8mm.
Hand Made from an impressive gauge of good grade solid silver it has a good weight of 94g or 3.3oz
